We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to come and learn the ropes as a Commis Chef and join our team. As a vital member of the kitchen, you will assist in food preparation and ensure that our high standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Duties
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
Support senior chefs in cooking and plating dishes during service periods.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
Participate in stock management, including receiving deliveries and checking inventory levels.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
Contribute to menu development by providing feedback on dishes and suggesting improvements.
Engage in ongoing training to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but not essential; a passion for cooking is key.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a busy kitchen setting.
Excellent communication skills, with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
