Job Description

At The Acorn, we're looking for a commis chef with a passion for local produce. We are looking for someone to help run our usual cafe brunch and lunch service on a Thursday, under the guidance of our head chef. There could be more hours and Friday evening services available for the right candidate.

This role would be perfect for someone studying a level 2 or 3 catering-related qualification.

Duties


- Prepare and cook meals efficiently
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth service
- Monitor food stock levels and add to order lists as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area
- Follow food safety and allergen guidelines

Requirements


- Kitchen experience
- Knowledge of local food and food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
