Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in the management of kitchen operations, including supervising junior kitchen staff when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Help develop new menu items and contribute creative ideas to enhance the culinary offerings.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the head chef.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
A background in hospitality or culinary arts is highly desirable, showcasing your passion for the industry.
