About the Role
We're looking for
enthusiastic, skilled, and reliable chef
to join us for our grand opening.
As part of our back-of-house team, you'll play a key role in working as part of a team of professional chefs cooking fresh, local and seasonal produce to showcase the beautiful area we live in and what incredible food we have on our doorstep!
Experience is essential.
Because we're a new opening, we are looking for individuals with a proven track record with experience and ability to hand busy periods, a passion about great food, local ingredients, and someone who is enthusiastic about being apart of a close-knit opening team.
Responsibilities
Proven experience in a similar line cook or culinary role within a restaurant setting.
o Maintain a hygienic,clean and organised kitchen
Before service roles include; prepping menu ingredients and dishes, keeping kitchen clean and general tidiness, mentor junior staff, ensure food quality, liaise with Head Chef
During service; maintaining and clean and hygienic kitchen throughout service, cooking Ingredients and plating some dishes , assisting and learning with the Head chef.
After service, ensure the kitchen is ready for the next day, floors and walls clean, surfaces/cooking area clean, tidy and organised. We work as a team, no one is left behind. Each team member has health, hygiene and cleanliness responsibilities.
Maintain a smooth and efficient service throughout the shift.
Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork with colleagues.
To be able to identify food costs and limit wastage.
Stay calm, organised, and professional during busy periods.
Adapt to changing business levels with initiative and efficiency.
Follow all relevant health, safety, and hygiene standards, as well as company policies.Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Previous supervisory experience is advantageous, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team environment.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential for maintaining a safe kitchen.
