What You'll Do

As a Commissioning & Controls Engineer, you'll be the face of our technology--bringing systems to life at customer sites across the UK and beyond. You'll lead the installation, commissioning, training, and handover of advanced powder handling equipment, with a strong focus on control systems.

Commission and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems (Allen Bradley & Siemens) Interpret control documentation (FDS, SDS, electrical drawings) Deliver hands-on training and support to customers Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery Maintain detailed site diaries and handover reports Represent Matcon professionally on-site and remotely
Travel globally, up to 75%.

What You Bring

Degree or HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering (or equivalent) Proven experience in process or automation industries Strong knowledge of EthernetIP, Profinet, MES, and SCADA systems Ability to modify and fault-find PLC/HMI software Excellent problem-solving skills and customer-facing confidence Familiarity with ATEX and hazardous area applications (training provided)
