Role Profile



Lloyd's List Intelligence is seeking to appoint an experienced Commissioning Editor who will be responsible for the commissioning and development of content across existing and new subject areas on our platform i-law.com, which includes leading publications such as Lloyd's Law Reports, Lloyd's Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly and Building Law Reports.





We are looking for a proactive and experienced content commissioner with experience of working in the legal sector. They will be driven with good communication skills and willing to build new relationships with key players in our target industries.




Key Responsibilities:





Understand and identify opportunities for new content across our key subject areas through market research including attending events. Nurture relationships with new and existing contributors to deliver additional content across different product types, ensuring high quality output within defined budgets and deadlines. Work with the law content team to develop and maintain relationships with existing

authors to continue established workflow.
Identify and plan for future editorial requirements. Explore and develop partnerships with external providers to increase engagement. Work with the product and law content team to research business cases for new

products and enhancements including customer discovery.
Collect and analyse market intelligence on competitors.



What we are looking for:




Essential





Experience of working on high quality content commissioning in law or a similar

publishing sector.
Confidence in building new relationships with leading law firms and contributors

from practice and academia.
Ability to prioritise work to deadlines and budget. Experience of working across internal teams with different stakeholders. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
