There has never been a more exciting time to join the Children Young People and Families Directorate and help ensure that children and families in Doncaster have access to the very best services.

We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated individual who has the right skills and a can-do attitude to join us as a Commissioning Support Officer to work within the Children's Commissioning Team. This post will support the delivery of effective commissioning in Doncaster in line with national and local agendas to ensure improved outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Doncaster Council ensures that all services are commissioned against evidenced local need in line with the priorities of the Children and Young People's Plan. We continue to work proactively with all our partners and stakeholders to make the very best use of available resources and continuously review services to ensure they are high quality and value for money.

The post holder's duties will include:

To support and co-ordinate consultation for Independent School Education placements. To support all commissioning, contract compliance and quality assurance activity across a range of commissioned services, ensuring that contract management is delivered in a timely and efficient manner as per organisational policies and procedures and to ensure services are safe and achieve the best outcomes for children and families. To support consultation exercises and engagement of a wide range of stakeholders and partners for the commissioning of services To support engagement with service users, carers, voluntary organisations and external providers in market development and management.


The successful candidate will have:

Experience in supporting projects. Organisational and problem-solving skills to ensure support is timely and effective. Experience of partnership working with service users, providers, and partner agencies Proven IT skills in the production of reports, data, and presentations
