Communications and Digital Marketing Associate

to join our team and work with our marketing as well as publications and events departments. As a

Communications and Digital Marketing Associate

, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing public relations and digital marketing strategies to promote our products, events and services. Your responsibilities will include writing and creating engaging content, conducting digital marketing campaigns, analysing performance metrics and collaborating with the various teams to drive brand awareness, event promotion, amplifying our publications as well as for our client and partner events.

Responsibilities:



Writing and Content Creation: Develop and create engaging digital content, including newsletters, e-shots, advertisements, social media posts, and website content. Digital Marketing Campaigns: Plan, execute, and manage digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, and search engine marketing. Performance Analysis: Analyse marketing metrics and KPIs to evaluate campaign performance and optimize strategies. Provide regular performance reports for ICP and Clients Social Media Support: Work with editorial, event and commercial teams to promote forthcoming events for ICP and clients, amplify stories from our publications - African Business, New African and African Banker, etc Collaboration: Work closely across all departments to develop integrated marketing initiatives. Travelling & Off-site Work: Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to perform onsite marketing activities, in the UK or abroad where necessary and as assigned. Perform other related duties as required.

Skills, aptitudes, attitudes and abilities:



Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Public relations and digital marketing experience Strong analytic thinking and capacity for creative ideas Proficiency in digital marketing tools and CRM/CSM platforms, such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, social media management tools, and email marketing software for newsletters - Mailerlite, Madmimi, GoDaddy etc Understanding of analytics tools to measure performance. Creative mindset and graphic design proficiency - InDesign, Canva, CapCut, etc Strong analytical and research skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and objectives. The ability to read, digest, analyse, streamline and tailor a variety of information succinctly into compelling social media posts. The ability to handle several projects at the same time. Excellent planning and organisational skills. An interest in African and world news

Qualifications and Experience:



Bachelor's degree in public relations, advertising, branding, marketing, communications, or a related field. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing roles, within publishing or events, preferably in Africa or Africa-facing. Strong understanding of the African publishing and event landscape. Qualifications and/or experience may be substituted for certain minimum qualifications
