High Peak CVS are excited to be recruiting for a

Communications and Engagement Officer

The post will be 17 hours per week until March 2026 with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.

Actual Salary: 11,729 for 17 hours per week (25,528 FTE based on 37 hours)

This is a hybrid role within our office at Whaley Bridge and home working. Travel around the High Peak will also be required.

This post is vital in promoting and supporting the development of the voluntary and

community sector in the High Peak.

The specific focus of this post is to

a) Work closely with all senior staff within the CVS to develop and deliver our communications and media output.

b) Support work and projects which assist engaging with our members and the local community

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to High Peak CVS's social media output to ensure we have regular and relevant postings and are a trusted local source of information Share and promote information relevant to our members including those that promote health and wellbeing Create ways to develop and publish compelling stories based about our work and that of our members Work with team members to communicate their work and the community impact we have Support the production of our leaflets, newsletter and annual reports to raise awareness of our work and activity Work with CVS staff to embrace and ensure a consistent visual identity so that it is used widely and consistently throughout the organisation. Attract press coverage for our work and that of our members. Connect with, develop and build on our established relationships with members, local voluntary and community organisations, charities and social enterprises. Conduct active outreach and engagement with local communities and groups with special attention to marginalised groups Represent High Peak CVS at events to promote the work of High Peak CVS, our members and the wider VCSE sector Support High Peak CVS to organise events for our members and the community Assist with the ongoing development of our website
