We are delighted to be introducing this new exciting role within our team. You will work alongside our team and make a vital contribution to the mission of our charity through the planning and delivery of an effective and action orientated marketing and communications strategy.

We aim as Age UK York to be the first port of call for anyone with an age-related need in York and want more people to be aware, understand and be able to access support when they need it. The Communications and Marketing Officer will create and deliver targeted marketing initiatives to help us realise this whilst supporting our charity's sustainability priority, including strengthening our income generation initiatives, directly supporting the ongoing funding of our services on which so many depend.

The voice and needs of older people and those around them are at the heart of our charity. An important part of the role will be to work as part of our team and alongside partners in influencing local decision makers to help tackle the challenges faced by older people and communities.

The role will work to help us involve older people like never before helping us to both co-design our services and inform our charity's decisions hand-in-hand with older people themselves now and into the future.
