They are proud members of the Munnelly Group who are a family owned leading UK construction and infrastructure support services group and are now looking for a Communications and Proposals Assistant to join their marketing team.

Role Specification:



The Communications and Proposals Assistant will play a key role in supporting the delivery of communications and proposals related activities, servicing both internal teams and external clients. Working within a dynamic consultancy environment, you will ensure service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:



Marketing Support



Assist in the creation, scheduling, and monitoring of digital marketing campaigns (including social media, email, and website content) using platforms such as LinkedIn, Mailchimp and Google Analytics, to promote the consultancy's services to existing and prospective clients. Support the development of marketing collateral such as brochures, case studies, presentations, and newsletters tailored to both internal stakeholders and external audiences. Help maintain and update the company website and social media channels with relevant content for clients and staff. Coordinate with external consultants (e.g., designers, printers) as required to deliver high-quality marketing materials. Assist in organising any events, webinars, and client-facing activities.

Proposal Support



Monitor and report on client web portals for opportunity sourcing and clarification updates. Support the preparation and submission of pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), tenders, and proposals for both internal business development initiatives and external client opportunities. Collate and format information from various departments to ensure timely submission of documents that meet client requirements. Maintain client bid libraries of standard proposal content, such as CVs, case studies, accreditation certificates, policies/procedures, and project sheets accessible to internal teams for efficient proposal development. Proofread and edit proposal documents for accuracy, consistency, brand alignment, and client focus. Track proposal deadlines and submission requirements for both internal projects and external bid submissions.

Internal & External Customer Service



Act as a point of contact for internal teams and the Operations Manager, requiring marketing or proposal support, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally. Liaise directly with clients as required to gather information or clarify requirements for proposals or marketing initiatives. Provide clear communication and updates to both internal stakeholders and external clients regarding progress on marketing campaigns or proposal submissions.

General Administration



Maintain accurate records of marketing activities and proposal submissions for reporting to management and clients. Assist with reporting on marketing metrics, campaign effectiveness, proposal outcomes, and client feedback. Provide general administrative support to both the marketing and proposals teams, as needed. Maintaining accuracy and updating of the Trello workflow system for the internal teams and external clients.

Person Specification:



Previous experience in a marketing or proposals environment within a consultancy or professional services setting (desirable). Familiarity and working understanding of key digital marketing channels and platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, Mailchimp, CMS platforms like WordPress, and basic understanding of SEO or Google Analytics). Awareness of analytics and performance metrics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously for different stakeholders. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiar with digital marketing tools/platforms. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with both internal colleagues and external clients. Proactive and enthusiastic approach to work. Creative thinker who can tailor communications for different audiences, but with obsessive attention to detail. Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced consultancy environment. Professional attitude with a commitment to confidentiality and high standards of customer service.
