We're looking for someone with a passion for all things digital. Our digital work has seen real growth over recent years and we have big plans to further develop this work. The particular focus of this role is to develop creative and innovative ways to reach out and engage local people. A key focus of this role involves working with our Executive Officer on the further development and implementation of our organisational digital and engagement plans.
Duties
Work with our Executive Officer and senior staff to develop and deliver our communications and engagement strategy
Lead and develop our organisational profile, communication materials and approaches with a focus on digital online engagement
Lead responsibility for managing our communications output including producing content, running our social media channels, and maintaining and developing our website including news bulletins
Work with staff in developing communication material, media and awareness raising for our projects
Create effective and engaging communication materials including digital and print
Create and promote engaging surveys, campaign materials for both print and online platforms
Develop online discussion forums and face to face focus groups
Monitor and produce digital evidence and analytics for website blogs, social media traffic and campaigns to achieve project outcomes.
Develop and deliver staff training in the use of digital software and communication tools
Keep abreast of current practices and development opportunities
Carry out any other duties that may be required to achieve our organisational objectives
Essential Requirements
Proficient in the use of social media platforms and producing effective media materials
Knowledge and/or experience in the use of Content Management Systems
High degree of computer literacy and experience of Microsoft 365 Suite including Teams and Office applications
Knowledge / experience of current graphic design packages and Google Suite applications
Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
Experience of developing and delivering social media communications and online engagement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent person-centred qualities and the ability to forge effective relationships
An understanding of the culture and needs of the people within Inverclyde
Desirable Requirements
Relevant qualification
Experience/Knowledge of digital hardware set up and Windows installation and maintenance
Experience/Knowledge of network and internet maintenance
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications particularly InDesign and Photoshop
Experience of video creation
