DB Cargo UK is recruiting a Communications Executive on a two-year fixed-term contract to join our Communications Team at our Head Office in Doncaster.
In this role, you'll work across the full breadth of communications - drafting and editing content, managing social media, supporting press activity, and collaborating across teams to deliver clear, engaging messages to a range of audiences. You'll also keep a close eye on media coverage, bring fresh ideas to campaigns and events, and help shape how DB Cargo UK tells its story.
This is a hybrid working role with 2-3 days per week being in the office.
What will you be doing?
Working closely with the Head of Communications, you will help develop and deliver communication strategies that support DB Cargo UK's vision and goals. You will draft, edit, and proofread content for a wide range of internal and external channels, as well as assist in preparing press releases, articles, and briefing materials for stakeholders. Collaboration will be central to your work, as you gather information from colleagues across departments and turn it into tailored communications for different audiences.
We'll also look to you for fresh ideas to enhance stakeholder engagement through creative campaigns, events, and digital initiatives. To help us continuously improve, you'll stay up to date with the latest communications tools, social media trends, and best practice, while providing general administrative and project support to ensure all activities are delivered on time.
