About NGM



New Global Markets (NGM) Consulting is a boutique advisory firm founded in 2024 to support nonprofits, corporates, and philanthropists to diversify income and adapt to disruption in the global aid and funding system.

In our first year, we delivered flagship services including Fundraising Audits, the Pathway methodology, and Recruitment Support, while building a lean and effective team with global lived experience. Looking ahead, we are on track to deliver our first Unscripted conference, a convening for bold fundraisers, and to position NGM as a trusted thought leader in the future of nonprofit funding. The Role



We are seeking a Part-Time Communications Manager to join our core team and lead the development of NGM's communications and brand visibility. This is an opportunity to help build the growth and development of a rapidly expanding firm that is already shaping global conversations on philanthropy, nonprofits, and corporate partnerships.

As a key part of our communications team, you'll oversee handling NGM's external communications across various media, digital platforms, and sector events. Your role will be to ensure our messages are clear, professional, and in line with our mission.

Key Responsibilities



Brand & Content Development

Design and implement a communications strategy to support NGM's growth.

Produce compelling written content (articles, newsletters, social posts, case studies, client materials).

Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and client-facing outputs.

Thought Leadership & Media Relations

Publish at least 5 articles annually in the sector or mainstream press.

Draft speeches, op-eds, and presentations for NGM leaders.

Build and manage media relationships, draft press releases, and respond to enquiries.

Digital & Social Media

Lead weekly LinkedIn campaigns to raise brand visibility.

Oversee NGM's website with regular updates (case studies, services, news).

Experiment with new storytelling formats (short videos, infographics, podcasts).

Visibility & Events

Secure 5 speaking opportunities per year for NGM leaders at sector events.

Lead communications for the Unscripted conference in 2026.

Support webinars, client launches, and sector convenings with tailored comms.

What We're Looking For



Essential:

5+ years' experience in communications, PR, or marketing.

Track record of raising visibility for an organisation in the nonprofit, philanthropy, or corporate impact sector.

Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for diverse audiences.

Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management (especially LinkedIn), and basic website content management.

Proactive, creative, and able to work independently in a small, fast-paced team.

Desirable:

Experience in philanthropy, international development, or the social impact space.

Understanding of African and Global South narratives and funding landscapes.

Event communications experience, particularly around conferences or campaigns.

Salary: 18,000-22,000 per annum (for 2-3 days per week, depending on experience).
