Experts at what we do, we work in a professional way towards our shared goals, knowing the work we do makes a genuine, lasting difference on the environment. As Communications Officer (Digital), that involves:
Delivering relevant, engaging content across our various channels, in line with the social media strategy
You will take the lead in storytelling, identifying opportunities for content and engaging staff within the organisation to bring these to life.
You will be responsible for delivering monthly content plans for all our social media channels and working with the wider communications team to adapt these to our needs
You will regularly keep up to date with changes in the digital and social landscapes, and use these changes as opportunities to develop our offering
You will be able to work both proactively and reactively, and be willing to adapt and react depending on the priorities that day. No day is the same at SEPA - one day you might be attending a ministerial visit to film content for our channels, and the next you might be developing content for a water scarcity campaign package
You should be comfortable in developing assets for digital channels and will have experience in using tools similar to Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva. The ability to be able to create simple animations would be a bonus, but not essential

This is a highly important role within our Governance, Performance & Engagement portfolio, which means you'll need:
Relevant previous experience in a social media, digital marketing or communications role
Proven experience with developing content for social media that resonates with channel audiences
Proven experience of equipment and systems such as Adobe Creative Cloud/Final Cut Pro or similar
Proven experience creating content using iPhone, cameras, drones and is comfortable working solo to capture video and photography to develop into social media assets
Proven experience with social media management tools
