As Communications & PR Manager, you will:





Develop & Implement Communication Strategies - Lead the creation and execution of internal and external communication plans that align with PDSA's objectives, increasing public awareness and engagement. Media Relations & PR Campaigns - Build strong relationships with media channels, secure positive coverage, and coordinate impactful PR campaigns to enhance PDSA's reputation. Storytelling & Content Creation - Identify and develop compelling stories that showcase PDSA's impact, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across all internal and external platforms. Crisis & Reputation Management - Monitor public sentiment, manage media inquiries, and coordinate crisis communication responses to protect and uphold PDSA's reputation. Public Affairs - engage with local, regional and national stakeholders to support the outcomes of our purpose and strategy.
Performance Monitoring & Innovation - Track media coverage and PR metrics to inform future strategies, while staying updated on industry trends to identify new PR opportunities.




We're seeking someone with:





Proven Communications & PR Expertise - Experience in managing communications and PR within a similar sector, with a strong ability to craft and execute effective strategies. Media Relations & Campaign Management - A strong track record of building media relationships and delivering successful PR campaigns that drive positive brand awareness. A developed understanding of strategic internal communications and experience in delivering across a range of channels to improve employee experience Crisis Communication & Reputation Management - Experience in handling crisis situations, acting as a spokesperson, and mitigating reputational risks. Excellent Written & Verbal Communication - Strong storytelling abilities with exceptional writing and speaking skills to engage audiences effectively. Stakeholder & Team Leadership - Strong interpersonal skills, with experience managing a team and collaborating across departments to ensure aligned messaging.
Relevant Qualifications (Desirable) - Professional qualifications in PR, Communications, or Marketing would be advantageous.




This role is based in Telford, TF2 9PQ (with remote working).
