About The Role
We're looking for a dynamic
Communications & Social Media Specialist
to expand on telling our story, engage our community, and grow our online presence. This person will be the voice of our brand across multiple digital platforms, bringing to life the energy of our cars, the excitement of our events, and the achievements of our teams.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Strategy
Plan, create, and manage compelling content (photo, video, graphics, copy) for social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X).
Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with events, sponsors & supporters and campaigns.
Capture live content at race events and exhibitions when required to showcase student experiences and tell our story.
Community Engagement
Foster an active and supportive online community of students, teachers, parents, and partners.
Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and engaging manner.
Amplify user-generated content and highlight participant achievements.
Campaigns & Growth
Run social media campaigns to boost the Trust's awareness and school participation.
Track, analyse, and report on social media performance, using insights to optimize growth.
Experiment with creative formats and trends to keep content fresh and exciting.
Collaboration
o Work closely with the Event Manager and Event Team to amplify key initiatives.
o Liaise with schools, students, and sponsors to create shareable stories and case studies.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience managing, running and growing social media channels for a brand, organisation, or project.
Strong storytelling ability with excellent writing and copy-editing skills.
Confident creating multimedia content (basic video editing, photography, Canva/Adobe Suite skills desired)
Comfortable working at fast-paced live events and producing real-time updates.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to turn analytics into action.
Previous experience at events, especially within motorsport environment desirable
Passion for education, sustainability, motorsport, or STEM is a big plus!

Permanent contract subject to passing 6 month's probation
21 hours per week worked over Tuesday Wednesday Thursday at 7 hours per day with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break
27 days annual leave (pro rata'd) plus bank holidays (3 days used for office closure during the Christmas & New Year break)

Pay: 13,333.00 per year
