The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting a Communications Specialist on behalf of Educational Competencies Consortium (ECC).





We're looking for an experienced Communications Specialist to shape and deliver engaging communications that connect, inform, and inspire. At ECC, we support higher and further education institutions with expert advice and services - and your role will be pivotal in sharing that story.



This is a hands-on role for someone who is creative, digitally confident, and excited to lead end-to-end communications activity. You will work collaboratively across the organisation, helping us raise our profile, engage our members, and demonstrate our impact.

Key Role Accountabilities:



Design and implement a calendar of communications activity aligned with strategic goals Lead on delivery of content across email, newsletters, website, and social media Develop creative campaigns to promote ECC services, events, and success stories Write, edit, and produce high-quality content (written, visual, and video) tailored to members and stakeholders Manage ECC's web presence, making updates and optimising content for clarity and accessibility Monitor engagement metrics and campaign effectiveness Use insights to make data-driven recommendations and adapt strategy accordingly Use CRM and digital tools to manage campaigns and communications effectively Maintain organised and up-to-date filing and content systems (SharePoint, CRM, website) Liaise with external suppliers and partners to support communication goals

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

:





Essential

:



Strong track record of delivering audience-focused communications strategies Confident using a range of communication tools (email marketing, social media, web platforms) Excellent writing and verbal communication skills Experience in video content creation/editing Creative, strategic thinker with high attention to detail Proficient in managing digital content, campaign planning, and stakeholder engagement


Desirable

:



Educated with a relevant degree or with 3+ years of relevant experience Experience working with HR or education sector audiences Awareness of how AI tools can support content development and routine tasks
