The Community and Challenge event fundraiser is responsible for assisting the Charity Fundraiser to plan, attend and lead on challenge and large community event fundraising, raising the profile and income of the Charity.
Responsibilities
Work with the Charity Fundraiser, Operations Managers, and Director to develop an annual plan for challenge and large community event fundraising.
Regularly attend weekend and evening community fundraising events, working closely with volunteers to ensure the events run smoothly.
Plan, attend and lead on the operational delivery of the challenge events (e.g. Climb the 02, abseils, sky dives and other sponsored events) and large community events (e.g. Antiques Fair, Seasonal Events)
Recruit, coordinate and support participants for all CWCF organised challenge events and large community events.
Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, support and inspire volunteers supporting challenge and large community event fundraising in line with our volunteering policy.
Work with the Media Assistant to drive communication plans to promote CWCF's challenge and large community events on our social media, website, e-newsletter, hard-copy newsletter, and in the press.
Maintain and develop relationships with key service providers and volunteers.
Work closely with the office team to ensure robust and timely systems to process and thank supporters quickly and accurately.
Prepare a quarterly fundraising report for Trustee meetings.
Skills Required:
Event planning skills: The Community and Challenge Event Fundraiser will need to possess excellent event-planning skills, time management and organisational skills to be able to deal with a multitude of tasks and a range of priorities.
Communication and people skills: The Community and Challenge Event Fundraiser will need to possess excellent communication skills. The image of CWCF and its services relies heavily on the ability of the Community and Challenge Events fundraiser to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people including volunteers, staff and key service providers.
Information technology skills: The Community and Challenge Events fundraiser will need strong IT skills and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel. A working knowledge of Canva, graphic design software, would also be helpful.
Problem solving skills: The Community and Challenge Event Fundraiser will need to be practical, proactive, calm and able to use their initiative.

To undertake training as required.
Assist with other work, events and projects as needed.
