Part-time 21 hours (0.6FTE)



Fixed term until September 2026 (available from July 2025)



Become part of the GroundsWell consortium, a large UK-wide research project on the health benefits of urban green (e.g. parks) and blue (e.g. rivers) space. Help us generate research around the potential for co-production, citizen science and other community engagement techniques to reduce health inequalities. You will be part of the Scottish Collaboration for Public Health Research and Policy and work with OPENspace.


The Opportunity:



This post is part-time (21 hours per week) and we are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.


The salary for this post is Grade 7 (40,497.00 to 48,149.00 per annum) - the appointment will be made at Spinal Point 32 (40,497.00) due to budgetary restrictions.

Community engagement and participatory research methods with a range of partners


Working with community and policy stakeholders to design and carry out research


Experience writing up research for academic publication, policy makers and practitioners


Previous research in urban green and blue space, or public health


Team work and communication skills
