As a Community Wellbeing Officer, you'll plan, implement, and monitor initiatives that build social capacity and improve health and wellbeing. You'll empower communities to meet their own needs and create opportunities for residents to engage in meaningful wellbeing activities within their local environment.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting individuals and groups to develop and sustain community initiatives that promote independence, resilience, and wellbeing.
Maintaining strong relationships with voluntary sector partners to align projects with the Council's early help approach and Help Hub.
Encouraging community cohesion and leadership to bring people together.
Promoting volunteering and support coordination through the SNAB Community Links group.
Managing community grant schemes including Member Ward, Go For It, Get It Started, and Sports grants.
Raising awareness of the Help Hub and identify or build community capacity in areas of need.
