We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team on our community runs. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. You will be expected to travel to areas such as Bury, Whitefield, Prestwich and North Manchester.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the service user's conditions.
Support with meal preparation and feeding as required.
Ensure cleanliness and safety within the care environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist in transporting residents as needed, which may involve driving them to appointments or activities.
Qualifications
At least 6 months previous experience in care
Previous experience in home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective interaction with residents and team members.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the service.
