Job Overview


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community based Care Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes in and around the Wrexham area.

We have a number of care runs, and you will be kept in one desired location to avoid any unnecessary traveling. Due to the locations in Wrexham that we cover, this role does require applicants to be a car driver, and have access to their own car, and Mileage and travel time is paid by the business.

This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our Individuals, particularly those with dementia and other health challenges.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept people who require sponsorship.

All positions will be subject to suitable enhanced DBS, and references.

As a Real Living Wage employer we offer good rates of pay

starting from 12.60ph,

enhanced rates at a weekend, and we also pay for travel time and mileage.

All we ask is that staff are fair with their availability to cover some early and some late shifts, along with working every other weekend.

All working hours are worked on a rota basis between 7am - 3pm or 4pm to 10pm, to meet your desired preferences, and must include working every other weekend.

Duties



Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide medication administration as per prescribed guidelines. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of our individuals. Assist with mobility, ensuring safety at all times. Maintain accurate records of individual care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate staff. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans. Engage individuals in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.

Experience



Previous experience in patient care or a similar role is desirable, but not essential, as full training and shadowing will be provided. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members. A caring attitude and a genuine desire to help others are crucial for success in this role. Relevant qualifications in health or social care would be beneficial but are not mandatory, and are offered to all applicants on completion of their probationary period.
