We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care within their homes or community settings. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for those you serve, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialised care.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
Provide patient care in various settings including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private residences.
Support clients with Alzheimer's and dementia care, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Assist with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
Previous experience in senior care, home care, or care-giving is highly desirable.
Certification in first aid is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
A valid driving licence is essential with use of a car.
Ability to perform moving and handling as required by client needs.
