We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need within our community. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care while promoting independence and dignity for those we serve.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
Provide childcare support as required, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those dealing with dementia or hospice care.
Implement behaviour management strategies to assist clients in maintaining positive interactions.
Perform heavy lifting when necessary, particularly when assisting clients with mobility or transferring them safely.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous.
Ability to drive is beneficial for transporting clients as needed.
Familiarity with dementia care principles and hospice care practices is desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
