As a Community Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalised support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care and attention required to maintain their independence and dignity. Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Aid in meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met according to dietary requirements. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Support clients with behaviour management techniques as needed. Engage in activities that promote cognitive stimulation for clients with Alzheimer's or dementia care needs. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Skills

Experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly desirable. Strong background in patient care, particularly in senior care, hospice care, and home care environments. Knowledge of Alzheimer's and dementia care practices is beneficial. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties. Previous experience in caregiving or childcare can be advantageous for understanding client needs. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of those they serve through dedicated care and support.
