This role supports the Connected project's aim to reduce isolation, improve physical and mental wellbeing, promote healthy lifestyles, and strengthen community resilience in Amber Valley.

Develop and deliver weekly wellbeing activities, workshops, and themed sessions (e.g. cooking demos, gentle exercise, creative and social sessions). Coordinate joint sessions linking the cafe, pantry, and recovery hub - for example, using pantry ingredients in cooking sessions or budgeting workshops. Facilitate inclusive sessions for older adults, families, and young people (including literacy and school-transition support). Community Engagement

Build positive relationships with community members, volunteers, and partner organisations. Promote the project through outreach, social media, and community networks. Encourage participation among isolated, low-income, and recovery-focused individuals. Act as a key link between participants and wider services (social prescribers, GPs, mental health charities, schools).

Partnership Working

Collaborate with partners such as Amber Valley CVS, GP surgeries, schools, Hope for Belper, NHS Health Check teams, and local food networks. Attend partnership meetings and represent Kelsey Family CIC at local wellbeing events.

Monitoring and Evaluation

Record attendance, engagement, and feedback using simple monitoring tools. Collect stories, surveys, and informal wellbeing check-ins to demonstrate impact. Support quarterly reporting and contribute to mid-point and final evaluations.

Safeguarding, Health & Safety and GDPR

Adhere to all Kelsey Family CIC and Derbyshire County Council safeguarding policies. Report any safeguarding or serious incidents immediately to the Director and relevant authorities. Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and data protection requirements. Comply with all health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
