Community Employment Navigator
(Ref: E/CEN/B/925)
Job details:
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: 28,773.12 per annum
Contract: Fixed term until March 2026
Location: Belfast/Lisburn/Newtownabbey
Key responsibilities:

Provide 1-1 and group-based support, including CV building, interview preparation, job searching, and career guidance.
Provide direct support to 75 individuals across Root Cause communities.
Support the delivery of employment training academy programmes designed to equip individuals with skills, accredited qualifications, and workplace readiness.
Act as a liaison between employers and participants, ensuring smooth transitions into employment.
Provide tailored guidance to participants on managing their personal finances, including budgeting, debt management, and accessing financial support or benefits.
Connect individuals with appropriate financial advice services where needed.

Essential Criteria:

Minimum of 2 years experience in an employment support role
5 GCSEs at grade C and above including English and Maths
Strong understanding of barriers to employment and strategies to overcome them through targeted support.
Knowledge of training, qualification pathways, and employability skills development.
Full clean driver's license
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of participants and employers.
Ability to engage and support individuals from diverse backgrounds with sensitivity and understanding.
