The postholder will be responsible for championing community engagement with residents, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders, organising community activities and fundraising events to include effectively managing event budgets. Helping to grow participation across our community projects and providing the local community with a voice. Fundraising will include uniting and motivating the charities team to take part in charity fundraising efforts. Organising and management of fundraising events, networking and visiting local businesses to obtain sponsorship and support. Obtaining and managing volunteers within the community hub and charity team build and motivation events.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee community group organisers and volunteers, cafe team leader
Maintain budgets and meet annual KPI targets to ensure sustainability of community services
Develop new and maintain exciting relationships with community members, local groups, and partner organisations.
Plan, co-ordinate, and deliver community activities, workshops, and fundraising events.
Promote projects through outreach, social media, and community networks.
Recruit, support, and communicate with volunteers to enhance strength, growth and sustainability within fundraising and the charities community hub and cafe.
Gather feedback and monitor participation to help evaluate activities and events social value, impact and financial future sustainability.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for future funding and organisational purposes.
Represent the organisation at community meetings, events, and partnership forums.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure cohesive project and event support and successful delivery.

Person Specification
Essential
Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
Experience working in community settings or co-ordinating community-based fundraising projects.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
A commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and community empowerment.
IT skills, including use of email, social media, and Microsoft Office.
Desirable
Experience of working with volunteers.
Knowledge of local community networks and services.
Experience with project monitoring or reporting for funders.
Fundraising and event planning or facilitation experience.
