Role Title: Community Engagement Worker

Based at: Family Hubs (You will be expected to work within a Locality)

Salary details: Grade 7, \xc2\xa324,044-\xc2\xa326,740 (Pay award pending)

Contract Type: 37 hours per week, fixed term until 31st March 2025

The Family Hub & Start for Life programme was a manifesto commitment from the 2019 election and, in early 2022 Doncaster was identified as one of the 75 Local Authorities who met the criteria to participate. The programme is described as an \xe2\x80\x9copportunity to change the lives of thousands of parents, carers and babies across England\xe2\x80\x9d and challenges \xe2\x80\x9cnational and local government, the health sector and Start for Life professionals to use this programme to deliver better services for families, develop our understanding of \xe2\x80\x98what works\xe2\x80\x99 and build the evidence base for future investment decisions\xe2\x80\x9d.

As a Community Engagement Worker you will hold an integral role within Family Hubs and the Start for Life programme to support and engage underserved families. This role will build relationships with families and practitioners to encourage engagement, identify any needs or vulnerabilities early, and promote holistic approaches to providing information, advice, guidance, and support.
