Purpose of Post




Support the Supporting Communities Service Manager to identify and act on relevant opportunities to engage and collaborate with community hubs within the county's communities. Support community hubs to take advantage of opportunities that arise, including those that arise as a result of Cyngor Gwynedd's Strategic Plans. Work closely with the Supporting Communities Team officers and the Tackling Poverty Coordinator to identify collaboration opportunities in the communities to co-locate supporting people services and activities. Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the centre of everything we do. Develop and support community hubs located in the 13 areas across the county to be dynamic and sustainable. Ensure that Cyngor Gwynedd's services and departments are cohesive when discussing and collaborating with the county's community hubs. Facilitate discussions with external and statutory partners to raise awareness of the hubs network and the opportunities for collaboration.

Main Duties




Establish and support the work of community hubs in regeneration areas and help them to be self-sustaining and sustainable Work closely with the Senior Grants Officer and the Tackling Poverty Coordinator to ensure cross-departmental collaboration with the community hubs network. Organise and coordinate networking events and opportunities and share information with the hubs' partners. Coordinate the requirements of the service level agreement of Cyngor Gwynedd's cross-departmental Services with the community hubs Provide support to community hubs when undertaking the process of planning and developing Coordinate and bring expertise from other supporting people agencies to serve in the communities of Gwynedd Bring the expert advice of the Council's Services to the community through the hub partner, according to the project requirements, in full consultation with the relevant Services Act as Cyngor Gwynedd's point of contact for the community hubs. Assist community hubs to target financial resources to implement projects and prepare funding applications where appropriate Establish, nurture and develop regular contact with community hubs to ensure that they have a key role within regeneration plans. Ensure that grant funding is transferred to the hubs from funds that are appropriately spent. Gather evidence and data which ensure that monitoring requirements are addressed. Responsibility for self-development. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council's Health and Safety Policy. Operate within the Council's policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality. Responsibility for managing information in accordance with the Council's information management standards and guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation. Commitment to reducing the Council's carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council's Carbon Footprint. Undertake any other reasonable duty which corresponds to the salary and responsibility level of the post. Responsible for reporting any concern or suspicion that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused.

The post-holder will be expected to work evenings and weekends on occasions. * The post-holder should hold a full driving licence and have access to a private vehicle.
