We are looking for experienced midwives to join our community midwifery service, on an initial secondment basis for 12 months.. You will provide person-centred care across the antenatal and postnatal periods, working closely with a multidisciplinary team and local partners.When you join, you'll receive excellent guidance and support from us as an organisation, but also from some of the most experienced and dedicated members of our Maternity Services team.

Main duties of the job

A midwife who will provide high standards of clinical care throughout the pregnancy continuum. You will have recent Intrapartum experience in either a labour suite, an AMU or home birth environment. You will fulfil the role of an active member of the midwifery team and provide evidence of continuing professional development and clinical experience.

Be an educator - mentoring both qualitied and unqualified staff, including student midwives. Help people develop their leadership and supervision skills and complete any documentation required when taking on the role of mentor. Assist in the orientation of new staff or Return to Practice midwives where you will act as a preceptor
