Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and patient-focused

Community Pharmacist

to join our pharmacy team in the UK. You will play a central role in delivering NHS and locally commissioned services, including

Pharmacy First

,

oral contraception services

, the

New Medicine Service (NMS)

, and

Blood Pressure (BP) checks

. Your clinical expertise and passion for patient care will help support the health and wellbeing of the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense and check prescriptions accurately and in line with legal, ethical, and professional standards. Deliver NHS services including:

Pharmacy First Service

- treating common conditions and referring patients when necessary.

Oral Contraception Service

- initiating and continuing appropriate contraception.

New Medicine Service (NMS)

- supporting patients starting new medications for long-term conditions.

Blood Pressure Checks

- identifying and referring patients with hypertension. Provide expert advice on the safe use of prescription and over-the-counter medications. Promote healthy lifestyles through effective signposting and patient education. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data protection compliance. Supervise and support pharmacy support staff and technicians. Ensure compliance with GPhC standards, NHS contractual obligations, and company policies. Liaise with local GPs, healthcare professionals, and service commissioners to ensure integrated patient care. Contribute to a safe, organised, and efficient pharmacy environment.

Essential Requirements:

Master's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent. Registration with the

General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

. Eligible to deliver NHS services under the

Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF)

. Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy and public health. Excellent communication and counselling skills. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to ongoing professional development and service improvement.

Desirable:

Experience delivering advanced and locally commissioned NHS services. Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification (preferred, but not essential). Familiarity with PMR systems (e.g., PharmOutcomes).

Pay: 33,800.00-64,896.00 per year

Expected hours: 26 - 39 per week
