Community Pharmacist

BASED: Ancora Healthcare Ltd, 291 Ashby Road, Scunthorpe

HOURS: 30 - 40 hours per week, Mon - Sun

SALARY: Negotiable (depending on experience)

Ancora Healthcare Limited is a high-volume dispensing community pharmacy adjacent to a large medical practice. We are an established and busy independent pharmacy that focuses on customer care and satisfaction, whilst delivering both essential, advanced and locally commissioned services to our patients.

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist who can bring expert clinical advice and leadership to the team. They will be supported by experienced dispensers, ACTs and a newly installed Pharmaself24! The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals whilst supporting the training and development of the pharmacy team. This is an exciting period of change in community pharmacy, and we require an individual who can embrace and adapt to change, whilst being proactive in the delivery of pharmacy services. We need a forward-thinking pharmacist where the last thing you want to be doing is checking!

This role will suit an experienced pharmacist looking for a change, however we welcome applications from newly qualified pharmacists or soon to be qualified pharmacists.

Key responsibilities:

Responsible for all clinical aspects of the pharmacy including dispensing, checking and clinical services Ensure full personal compliance with company SOPs To help manage the collection of prescriptions and home delivery service ensuring an efficient service that meets the needs of the pharmacy and the patients Lead the running of an effective and efficient dispensary Accountable for professional pharmacy legal and ethical decisions in the pharmacy Build strong relationships with customers, GP's and health care professionals Offer expert healthcare advice Ensure that all services are proactively offered to patients and customers Project a positive image of the company as its representative, to both company staff and external organisations To take a proactive approach in the development and delivery of services to ensure that they are offered to all relevant patients so that these services are maximised. Actively supporting the development, education and training of colleagues
Skills:

MPharm degree or equivalent Registered with GPhC and compliant with standards for pharmacy practice Maintain a CPD record which reflects personal training needs and encompasses relevant current developments in keeping with the requirements of the profession Good attention to detail and high levels of concentration Excellent communication and customer service skills Excellent team working skills High level of IT literacy and numeracy Who is passionate about developing clinical services Who is progressive Who has excellent team management skills
