to support the Area Services Co-ordinator to oversee and deliver direct support to individuals impacted by a cancer diagnosis. In this exciting and dynamic role, you will help coordinate our transport service and support a team of complementary therapists and support volunteers, with a key focus on the administration relating to all aspects of supporting the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services across various Clan Wellbeing Centres and outreach bases throughout the Moray region.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Support:
Provide practical and emotional support to individuals affected by cancer, guiding them to appropriate services and resources.
Therapist and Volunteer Coordination:
Support a team of complementary therapists and support volunteers, ensuring they are motivated, working to Clan's values and providing excellent support to clients.
Service Delivery:
Support the Area Services Co-ordinator to oversee and support the delivery of Clan's listening and support service, complementary therapy sessions, free transport service and other services offered by Clan Cancer Support, ensuring high standards are maintained.
Outreach:
Regularly travel across the Moray region to deliver support from Clan Wellbeing Centres and outreach bases, ensuring the smooth running of services and addressing any local needs.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other healthcare professionals, service providers, and community organisations to build and strengthen referral pathways.
Administrative Support:
Keep accurate records of daily client interactions, reviews and evaluations. Track service delivery using Clan's preferred CRM system Charity Log, and ensure that feedback and evaluation is captured to help improve services via our client pathway.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Experience in a community services role, ideally within health and social care, charity, or volunteer coordination.
Strong understanding of the emotional, psychological, and practical needs of people impacted by cancer.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to support and manage a diverse team of therapists and volunteers.
Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and travel across the Moray region as needed.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
Proficient in working with IT systems including but not limited to Microsoft word, excel, outlook and PowerPoint.
Full, clean driving license, as travel across the region is required.
