Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker Driver/Non Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in private homes. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours. Facilitate activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.

Skills

Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, practices is beneficial. Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient care and compassion. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility issues. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Previous experience in childcare may be advantageous for those working with younger populations or families.
