Job Description

As a Community Transport Driver, you will be essential in providing safe and reliable transportation services to community members.

Qualifications

Full current driving licence with D1 category - that allows you to drive passenger and wheelchair accessible vehicles with up to 16 seats in a paid capacity *

*Please note Category D licence marked as not for hire or reward (NFHR) will not be accepted.

Experience:

5 years' driving experience - with a clean licence.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To drive Service Users to and from the Resource Centre Derry and on approved outings.

To observe strictly all Health & Safety regulations.

To deliver meals on wheels to Service Users.

To assist with delivery and collection of items, including furniture for the community shop.

To work with the Community Care Team in escorting Service Users to and from the minibus.

To operate the minibus lift.

To undertake upkeep and cleaning of minibuses and report faults to appropriate Manager.

To establish good working relationships with colleagues and Service Users.

To work as a committed member of the team towards the attainment of the Resource Centre Derry's aims and objectives.

To undertake any other duties deemed necessary by Registered Care Manager.
