Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and community minded individual to join our team. As a Community Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting individuals, community groups and school groups to a variety of locations, both in Nottinghamshire and further afield.. The hours of work are expected to be Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 9:30am and 2:30pm - 4:30pm. Overtime is available in school holidays, if required.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport individuals and community groups
- Plan routes and ensure on time arrival for community tasks
- Inspect / check vehicles for mechanical issues on a daily basis.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of daily tasks, mileage, and fuel consumption including completing daily Defect Cards

Requirements:
- Valid D1 driver's license with no more than 3 penalty points
- Previous experience as a professional driver or similar would be ideal but isn't essential
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including wheelchair accessible vehicles(MIDAS training provided)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Familiarity with Nottingham City/ Nottinghamshire would be an advantage but isn't essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.40 per hour
