Main Responsibilities:
Work with all stakeholders including, YMCA Taunton employees, external organisations and individuals to:
Supporting the engagement and involvement of young people across the YMCA Taunton;
Creating innovative ways to hear the young people's voice;
Contribute to the creation and delivery of an inclusive Youth engagement programmes involving young people in their design and delivery;
Ensure that all activity and engagement with young people complies with safeguarding legislation, policies and procedures;
when required to support the day-to-day operation of the YMCA Taunton premises and youth provision including Holiday Activities and evening sessions;
To act as a professional contact with YMCA Taunton partners and clients, providing outstanding customer service and support the team in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction;
Researches and analyses both quantitative and qualitative data that highlight changes in the challenges that young people face and opportunities to support the wider community;
Communicates with other colleagues how these challenges affect young people and how the charity might support them;
Help to evaluate and adjust promotional campaigns in response to collected data and other feedback;
Identify opportunities to further our reach and grow our impact; and
Be committed to safeguarding principles and be willing to put the welfare of children and young people at the forefront of your work and to report concerns in accordance with YMCA Taunton's internal referral arrangements
Education:
Good general education including Maths and English at level 2 or equivalent;
IT - fully conversant with Microsoft Office and Media applications; and
Ideally supported by youth and marketing qualifications
Prior Experience:
Experience and good understanding of user involvement and youth participation;
Experience of using digital platforms/CRM systems to build and engage networks and communities;
Experience of understanding and communicating with different audiences and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
Experience of working with young people and creating opportunities for them to lead
and have their voice heard

The role is based in the Taunton offices and involves liaising with other agencies/schools/colleges/services to promote the Charity, attract and engage with potential work and revenue streams within the local community, so a driving licence and the ability to travel locally would be advantageous
