Company Accountant - Manufacturing Industry
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Company Accountant
to join a growing business in theCinderford area of Gloucestershire
. This role is perfect for an experienced finance professional who is looking to take ownership of the company's financial operations and support its continued expansion.Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile
cashbook
. Prepareweekly and monthly supplier payment runs
for authorisation. Overseecredit control
, including resolving outstanding queries. Assist withpurchasing
and raisingpurchase orders
. Prepare and postjournal entries
. Producemonth-end management accounts
. Maintain and update theFixed Asset Register
. Oversee and updateproduct costings
. Plan and attendstock counts and valuations
. Submitquarterly VAT returns
. Carry outad-hoc finance duties
as required.Candidate Requirements:
AAT Level 4 qualified
orqualified by experience
with at leasttwo years of experience in manufacturing
. Proficiency inSage 50
(essential). Strong knowledge ofMicrosoft Office
with the ability to quickly learn new systems. Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Ateam player
with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. Highly organised, proactive, and approachable. Reliable, consistent, and able to meet deadlines.Salary & Benefits:
35,000 - 42,000 per year
(Full-time, Permanent, On-site)3% Employer Pension Contribution
23 days holiday + Bank Holidays
