We are seeking an experienced and proactive Company Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day bookkeeping function for our SME. This is a part-time, office-based role working from our Bournemouth head office, suited to someone who is highly organised, confident working independently, and comfortable producing accurate financial information to support management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Running and maintaining the company's bookkeeping system using Xero
Preparing monthly management reports
Managing payroll processes
Assisting with VAT returns and ensuring compliance
Performing regular bank reconciliations
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting year-end processes
Ensuring compliance with UK tax laws and financial regulations
About You
Minimum 3 years' experience running an SME's bookkeeping system
Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software
AAT qualified or an experienced candidate with equivalent practical knowledge
Confident preparing management accounts and financial reports
Solid understanding of UK tax legislation, including VAT and payroll
Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
Able to manage deadlines and work independently
