If you are a dynamic individual, skilled in providing complementary therapies,
we would love you to join us.
As one of the local leading providers of palliative and end of life care, St Andrew's Hospice is a highly successful and forward-thinking charity with a turnover of c5m, offering both adult and children's services. With an excellent reputation both in the local community and beyond, we reach over 800 patients and their families in Northeast Lincolnshire and our wider catchment area of Lincolnshire, Hull and East Yorkshire for our children's services and are growing our services to meet the expected increase in need.
This is an opportunity to really make a difference to those people that need it most. Complementary therapies can help our patients with symptom control and also provide emotional benefits, as we aim to make their lives a little easier at the most challenging time.
One patient recently said to us, "I find that alternative therapies are really helpful for me. I can get my head in the right place, and that helps me cope with day-to-day things."
The wellbeing of our patients and their carers, and our own staff and volunteers, is essential so it's important we find an experienced and compassionate practitioner, with great interpersonal skills, who can help develop, deliver, and maintain a high-quality service as part of a small complementary therapy team.
You will need to have a degree in body massage and second-degree Reiki as a minimum and you should have post registration experience as a complementary therapist, ideally working in a healthcare setting.
St Andrew's Hospice offers a warm, friendly, and nurturing environment where our patients, families and staff are at the heart of everything we do, in striving to make each day enjoyable for everyone. We want people to know that the Hospice is not a sad place, and our Hospice does not necessarily mean the end, it can mean healing and support and it can mean laughter, joy, making the most out of the time people have left.
As the Director of clinical Services, providing outstanding care and support is something I am passionate about. I, along with the team get to make a real difference to patients and family's journeys. We are proud to provide fun, rewarding, creative and engaging opportunities for patients that help give enjoyment every day. If you want to be part of this, then we would love to hear from you.
