Role Overview
As a Complex Care Assistant, you will provide one-to-one care and support to a client with complex medical needs, helping them to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own home.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe and high-quality complex care in line with individualised care plans
Deliver personal care, hygiene support, and assist with medication administration
Offer specialist support including
PEG feeding
(essential)
Support both physical and emotional well-being through compassionate, person-centred care
Maintain accurate documentation and promptly report any changes in the client's condition
Follow infection control and health and safety guidelines at all times
Essential Requirements
Minimum
1 year of experience
in complex care (required)
PEG feeding competence and experience
(essential)
Female carer (due to client's care requirements)
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Reliable, professional, and compassionate approach to care
Ability to follow detailed care plans and work independently
Desirable Experience
Experience in tracheostomy care, ventilation, suctioning, or epilepsy management
Previous background in community-based or paediatric complex care
