The Children You'll Support - Based in Chesterfield:
You'll be supporting a boy aged 10 and a girl aged 6 who are living with a life limiting neurological condition called WWOX. They require high-quality support to maintain health and dignity. You will become an integral part of the care team, working with mum and dad in a specially adapted home environment delivering specialist support in a respectful and compassionate way.
Your role will include:
Ventilator, oxygen and respiratory care
PEG feeding
Cough assist and airway management
Manual bowel care
Moving and handling
Personal hygiene and pressure care
Medication administration
What We're Looking For:
You'll be joining a close-knit, experienced team and will receive full training before starting.
The children's respiratory situation is such that carers need to be flu vaccinated and non-smokers.
The children would like really enthusiastic carers who not only assist them with their day-to-day health needs but enjoy getting involved in sensory play, watching movies and sports and listening to music and audiobooks, doing pampering sessions and fun activities together.
The family has a small miniature poodle who is very friendly so dog lovers most welcome.

A valid DBS (paper certificate or update service)
