BSL care has been supporting people with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health issues for over 30 years. We are a family run business that has a strong track record in delivering high quality care and support to the people we support. We have an ongoing need to recruit care and support workers that have a passion to support people with complex care needs live normal lives.

For this role specifically we are seeking care assistants to support people that have a learning disability and or autism.

You will have experience of working with adults that display challenging behaviour. You should have achieved your Level 2 in Health and Social care.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a genuine desire to help others and a desire to excel in professional development. The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for helping others, strong communication skills and experience in social care.

Responsibilities:

Promote the independence and choice of the people we support Always consider the least restrictive practices Support people with personal care when needed Support people meet their nutritional needs Help people to understand their care plans and the care they will receive. Work with managers and respond to feedback Talk with people we support and their families in a caring positive manner Be aware of peoples right to privacy
