Summary

We are seeking a female Support Worker to join our team at Compassionate Professional Care Services Ltd. This role involves providing essential support to a male individual (aged 38) with cerebral palsy in his home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The position offers flexible working hours to accommodate your availability.

Responsibilities

Assist client with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal care and social activities Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions Provide emotional support and companionship to client, fostering a positive environment Accompany the individual to social activities, transporting him using his own wheelchair accessible vehicle Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for client Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition

Requirements

Previous experience in a support worker or caregiving role is essential Knowledge of medication administration and basic healthcare practices is essential, although full training and shadowing will be given Understanding of cerebral palsy Strong communication skills to effectively interact with client, family, team members and health professionals Ability to perform physical tasks, including using hoist equipment when necessary
