Elanic Private Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and principled
Compliance Officer
to ensure the highest standards of clinical governance, regulatory alignment, and service excellence. This is a pivotal role that not only safeguards compliance across the organisation but also ensures patient feedback -- including complaints -- is handled with integrity, compassion, and transparency.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programmes that align with private healthcare legislation and Elanic's operational standards.
Conduct regular clinical audits and governance assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate across departments to embed a strong culture of compliance and quality assurance.
Review and respond to patient complaints, ensuring timely, empathetic, and well-documented resolutions in line with regulatory guidance.
Maintain a central register of complaints, monitor trends, and report findings to senior management to drive service improvement.
Produce detailed reports on compliance outcomes, risks, and corrective actions for the hospital leadership team.
Stay informed of changes to
HIS standards
, GDPR obligations, and other sector-specific regulations.
Deliver staff training on compliance protocols, quality frameworks, and best practice in complaint handling.
Contribute to the development of operational policies and procedures that promote excellence and patient safety.
Skills & Experience
Thorough knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations including
HIS
, GDPR, and private sector governance.
Experience in managing and resolving patient complaints within a clinical or hospital environment.
Strong analytical capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues professionally and constructively.
Proven organisational ability to manage multiple priorities across clinical and non-clinical areas.
Familiarity with digital compliance management and complaints tracking systems.
Collaborative approach and confidence in working with consultants, nursing teams, administrators, and external bodies.
A proactive attitude towards continuous service improvement and patient experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 26,000.00-35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 12 - 24 per week
