Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award winning multi-platform production company, social media agency, and digital media network who are currently on a quest to find a

Compliance Editor

to join our FAST Team on a 3 month FTC - Is this your next opportunity?


As Compliance Editor, you will be responsible for ensuring all licensed content (no original content creation) meets Ofcom guidelines before being broadcast on FAST channels or AVOD platforms. In this role, you will confidently use your extensive experience and judgment to identify any content that does not strictly adhere to the Ofcom broadcasting and video on demand code. If non-compliance is found, the editor must adjust the content to be compliant prior to its release. All compliance-related issues, along with their justifications, must be documented according to Ofcom guidelines.

3 month fixed term contract

set in the FAST team in Shoreditch, London.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME





Assessing compliance risk according to internal policies and Ofcom guidelines in order to ascertain whether compliance work is required before airing on relevant platforms. Create compliant edits from existing long form content for release on FAST channels and AVOD platforms. Remove and where possible replace third party archive and music with copyright free alternatives. Remove, bleep or blur swearing, insensitive or obscene terms, images or gestures. Use knowledge of Ofcom broadcast and on demand guidelines to make editorial decisions about content. Maintain the editorial integrity of the programme. Relabelling assets in accordance with Little Dot Studios Asset IDs. Collaborate with the content operations team to ensure appropriate storage of materials in the company MAM (Media Asset Management) System. Processing of content, editing and removal of part breaks if required


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED



Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.

Demonstrable and extensive experience of complying content with a major broadcaster (this includes knowledge of Ofcom broadcast and on demand guidelines). Excellent and demonstrable experience at video editing using Adobe Creative Suite Premiere Pro. Demonstrable ability and skill to edit video to a satisfactory standard. Team-oriented, analytical, and results-driven problem-solver. Excellent organisational skills, and ability to manage a high volume of videos and meet deadlines. Ability to use Adobe After Effects (desirable) Ability to work independently but be able to deliver to deadlines.
