We are looking for a Compliance Lead and Governance Professional who will:
Support the MAT's governance strategy to ensure a highly effective trust governance provision, building productive working relationships and allowing for the drive in improvements and standards across the trust.
Oversee compliance with legislative requirements, ensuring the Board's decisions are acted upon and are in accordance with the MAT's operational procedures as well as the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
Deliver a high quality, proactive and efficient service reporting to the Chair of Trustees and CEO.
Take charge of the co-ordination of all policies across the Trust, developing and maintaining a policy matrix.
Ensure policies are updated in line with statutory requirements and timelines.
Manage the distribution and correct publication of policies to ensure compliance.
Provide a full range of administrative support and services to the Members, Trustees and Governors of The Gateway Trust
Clerk for the Board of Trustees, Members AGM, Finance Audit and Risk Committee (FARC) and Gateway Central Services (GCS) ensuring meetings are appropriately minuted and actions are captured, progressed and updated.
Oversee consistent clerking/note taking across all LGB and committee meetings.
Design and roll-out a professional governor training programme and to lead on governor recruitment and retention.
Work collaboratively with other key functions so that governance within the trust supports and enables the delivery of The Gateway Trust's strategic objectives.

Flexible and willing to work at times convenient to the Trust, including attending evening meetings in person
Able to travel to meetings across the Trust's schools as required
We are looking for candidates who have:
Excellent administrative, communication and IT skills
Demonstrable experience of organising meetings, including agenda planning and distributing documentation
Experience maintaining efficient and accurate record-keeping systems
The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload
Confidence taking the initiative to find and share relevant information on behalf of the Trust Board
