Here at Settle we are looking for an Compliance Manager to work across across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and South Cambridgeshire for 12 months. We are looking for someone to deliver a first-class service procuring and managing our compliance contracts. You will act as an ambassador for strong customer focussed values both internally and externally.

Outline of Key Responsibilities...



Manage landlord compliance contracts ensuring programmes are in place to capture all areas of landlord compliance. Ensure contracts are procured and managed to provide excellent customer service. Dealing with or escalating performance issues where necessary. Provide monthly progress reports on your compliance areas, including performance, KPI's, programme, quality assurance and resident feedback where appropriate. Ensure that compliance contracts run within budgets, timescales and always to current H&S legislation. Input into external and internal audit processes in the compliance areas, ensuring actions points within your areas are actioned and completed within timescales. Keep abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practice. Manage day to day contract works on site, pre and post inspecting and advising where necessary. Work with colleagues across the business to aid access for compliance inspections. Raise Repairs and Damp and Mould issues. Signposting any vulnerability or safeguarding issues. Have an excellent Fire and Asbestos related regulation, Building Safety Act, RRO 2005. HASWA 1974, HHSRS, Building regulations knowledge is advantageous. Complaint handling Manage a team of compliance administrators to ensure that all data reporting is precise and effective; ensuring asset datasets are updated in a timely manner. Draft, modify and implement company policies. Prepare specifications, designs, contract and tender documentation to procure works and services. Ensure that resident consultation is carried out where required and our residents are kept fully informed of works. planned and happening within their homes.

Managing large budgets, ensuring expenditure is in line with budget estimates Have a strong knowledge of compliance (the Big 6) and health and safety within the housing sector having worked in a housing association or local authority Linking on the ground delivery with the strategic direction Maintaining compliancy by ensuring projects are completed in line with relevant legislation and regulations. Full UK clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Be a professional in the housing sector by aiming towards and achieving professional development through the chartered institute of housing Communicate ideas and information in a variety of formats, including the preparation of formal reports Develop budget and cost estimates Keep accurate records of expenditure Utilise and update settles computer based asset management system Uphold and live settles values with a robust commitment to diversity
